The details Each candle is thoughtfully hand-poured using a custom blend of natural coconut wax and beeswax. It's completely free from phthalates, carcinogens, toxins, and other harmful chemicals often found in traditional fragrance oils — for a cleaner, safer burn. 14 oz, with an approximate burn time of 80 to 90 hours.
About The Quiet Botanist fragrances
The Quiet Botanist candles are not made with 100% pure essential oils. They're crafted with professional-grade, phthalate-free fragrance oils that may include both natural components (essential oils, absolutes, and distillates) and safe synthetic aroma molecules that comply with IFRA (International Fragrance Association) guidelines for candle use.
Why not 100% essential oils? Using only essential oils in candles isn't considered safe or stable, because of their low flash point, oxidation, poor burn performance, and inconsistent (often very weak) scent throw. IFRA also restricts their usage levels — oils behave very differently when heated for hours than they do in a diffuser, perfume, or on skin — and some essential oils can become irritants when combusted or overheated as their natural compounds break down.
