Ingrid built the scent around a character. Picture her in New York, between two great loves, one finished and one not yet arrived, walking home on the first cold evening of the year. She has chosen the less obvious path: the career no one quite understands, the timeline that doesn't match her friends', the life she couldn't have when she was younger. The city is magic and it is hard, sometimes in the same hour. She lets herself feel the ache of that, not because she is lonely (she loves her independence), but because letting the sadness in is how she gets to feel the full happiness of the life she's built.
