French for “mountain pasture,” The Alpage Collection was inspired by the charm and elegance of the old world European countryside. Both sophisticated and comforting, the pieces conjure memories of French farmhouses, freshly baked sourdough bread, the smell after it rains, a meal shared with friends, rereading a favorite book, a babbling creek, a hot bath by candlelight.
This hand-made and hand-painted porcelain dish is food safe and dishwasher safe. It measures 3.25” in diameter. It is the perfect little dish to hold salt, freshly chopped herbs, rings, or even a tealight candle. The color palette is chocolate brown and white.

Stephanie Dawn Matthias is a Los Angeles–based ceramicist creating small-batch, hand-built pieces inspired by European folk art and decorative traditions. Each one is hand-built and illustrated by hand, drawing on influences from Pennsylvania Dutch Fraktur to antique British transferware and vintage floral textiles. The result feels rooted in the past while sitting naturally in a modern home — heirloom objects made for everyday use.
