Egg-Shaped Board - Medium in Cherry Wood

Shaped after the soft curve of an egg, this is a cutting board that doesn't want to live in a drawer. It moves from morning prep to the center of the table without changing clothes: chop on it, then wipe it down and load it with cheese, bread, or the whole brunch.

Each board is made by hand in Hudson Valley from sustainably sourced American hardwood, sanded until it feels almost soft and finished with a food-safe oil and wax blend. Wood is naturally antibacterial and gets better with use, taking on color and character the longer it lives in your kitchen. A hanging hole in the handle means it can stay out on the wall between meals. No two boards are alike. Grain, color, and tone vary from piece to piece because this is solid wood.

Details

Solid cherry, hard maple, or American black walnut, kiln-dried. Hand-sanded and oil-finished. Naturally antibacterial. Built-in hanging hole. Made start to finish in New York.

Care

Wash by hand with mild soap and warm water, dry right away, and never soak it or put it in the dishwasher. Every so often, rub in a little food-safe oil or board cream to keep the wood from drying out.
