Forman Function creates handcrafted objects that live at the intersection of sculpture and everyday use. The work is driven by a search for the "wiggle" — the moment when a material is pushed past its assumed limits, blurring the line between hard and soft, rigid and fluid. Founded in 2015 by artist and designer Gayle Forman at the Chrysler Museum Glass Studio in Norfolk, Virginia, Forman Function is now based in Brooklyn, where all work is fabricated at UrbanGlass in Fort Greene.
